2 Day IOSH Accredited Coaching Safety at Work



IOSH Coaching Safety at Work is a highly participative two-day course that develops and exercises skills to support workers in applying their own knowledge, skill and experience to understand and resolve health and safety challenges.

Health & Safety professionals and hands-on managers who want to engage staff in understanding H&S issues, and building solutions that really work.
Aim
The course aims to give delegates a greater awareness of the role and attributes of a good coach, to develop new coaching skills, and to have the confidence to apply those skills.
Learning Outcome
Coaching Safety at Work is designed to increase collaboration, engagement and ownership in health and safety by giving delegates the skills to ask the right questions, listen constructively, and nurture solutions.
Coaching Safety at Work content includes:
• Role of a coach
• Effective listening and questioning
• Styles of H&S practitioner
• Leveraging motivation and developing accountability
• The main styles of coaching – uses and common pitfalls
• The GROW model
• Practical coaching
Coaching Safety at Work Assessment and Certification
Assessment is by an end-of-course 45-minute multi-choice examination. Delegates who attend all the modules and score 60% or more in the examination will receive their personal Coaching Safety at Work certificate from IOSH, the world’s largest health and safety membership organisation.
