IEMA Foundation Course in Environmental Management (FCEM)
I completed the IEMA Foundation course as a refresher on Environmental awareness as part of a new role. A very well structured and well ran course which over the course of 5 one day sessions covered lots. Completing the learning as an open course really did helped bring different perspectives to the learning and I really enjoyed the interactive sessions facilitation by the trainer (Mary), would recommend as a good starting point for anyone looking to increase their knowledge around responsibility and the requirements of good environmental practice.

IOSH Managing Safely in Events & Exhibitions Version 2 - In House - London Transport Museum
S.A Associates are great to work with. The booking of the course was easy and straight forward with a great admin team who will support the business to get the best dates and trainer to suit the organisations needs. This support helps the course run smoothly as the trainer, candidate relationship is already on sure footing. The course content absolutely met our needs and the trainer used examples that were connected to our environment. The trainer was knowledgeable and had experience of H&S in the events and Museums sector, so we could relate to them and their background. All this lead to a well ran course and a great result for the candidates who attended.
IOSH Managing Safely in Events & Exhibitions Version 2 - In House - Royal Academy of Arts
Did the course content meet the needs of your companies aims and objectives?: Yes the course was really appreciated by all in attendance as it increased their knowledge, understanding and of the importance Health and Safety Management in the Exhibition and Events Industry. This training has since been added to the RA's staff training schedule.
Did you find the trainer to be knowledgeable and responsive to the group?: The Trainer was very competent in delivering this training. The trainer communicated the course clearly and with impact.
Comment: Health and Safety Law can seem a bit tedious - yet every employee were thoroughly engaged with the various legal aspects and its relationship with delivering a safe and properly managed exhibition and events. The intrinsic value and relationship between public, staff and visitors in delivering an exhibition and event experience - coupled with safety is of paramount importance in any organisation, and this ideal was achieved.
IOSH Managing Safely - Rochdale Boroughwide Housing - September 2019
We have had positive feedback for the trainer. The trainer was described to have detailed knowledge of the subject and was very engaging which can be difficult for a health and safety course that is over 3 days. We would highly recommend S.A.Associates and have already scheduled further training courses.

IOSH Managing Safely in Events & Exhibitions Version 2 - London - August 2019
This interesting and engaging three day course gave me an overview of the potential risks associated with events and exhibitions as well as suggestions and solutions of how to manage and mitigate them. Alison the tutor is a true industry professional who works at the pace of the group and involves everyone whilst sharing her own real-life experiences of working in the H&S and entertainment industries. As a relatively new events manager with responsibility for a wide range of public and business events, the course content and delivery was well positioned for me. I came away with a greater respect for the risks and a better understanding of my role and responsibilities.
IOSH Managing Safely in Events & Exhibitions Version 2 - In-House - Premiership Football Club - August 2019

IOSH Managing Safely in Exhibitions & Events Open Course in London - Mared Maggs - St Fagans National Museum of History - 24/07/2018
Hi Alex, Just a quick note to say both myself and Rhodd really enjoyed the course and found it very worthwhile. We really weren’t expecting a Health and Safety course to be so enjoyable if I’m honest! We were very impressed by the location. The training room was great, staff very friendly and food was amazing. Steve did a great job in keeping the three days light-hearted and relevant in fairness to him! I hope that’s helpful and thanks again for facilitating. All the Best, Mared - Attended the IOSH Managing Safely in Events & Exhibitions Open Course
Container Handler - Mobile Mini - Josh Ashton 30/05/21
We approached SA Associates (among several other companies) for Container Handler training - an anomaly within our company compared to the usual B2 Forklifts used at our depots. Within minutes Alex had responded to my query and from there the customer service was exceptional throughout. Alex was very friendly and pleasant to deal with, and very knowledgeable and confident about the exact category of training we required. Regular contact was maintained the entire time, making sure all of the arrangements were in place leading up to the training, and that our certificates had arrived safely post-training. I would strongly recommend SA for their professionalism, knowledge and warmth and certainly know where to look for any future training requirements we have. Thank you for all your support and assistance Alex!it it.
Fire Marshal Course - 21/09/2021;
The trainers wealth of experience came across well in his presentation, his previous first hand experiences in relation to the course content held attention. The weight of emphasis on the critical aspects of being a fire marshal was spot on, all delivered at a pace and level appropriate to our fire marshals experience. Kind regards, Andrew. Quality and Safety Manager - NMO
Royal Academy London - 01/11/2021;
Bringing together 20 Events Managers for an in house Managing Safely in Exhibitions and Events Health and Safety course was a formidable task, keeping all 20 engaged for 4 days was nothing short of a miracle.
SA Associates made the process very engaging. The trainer made the training very enjoyable which helped to keep the staff interested and take in the information that was needed for them to be able to apply the training themselves in practise and cascade the training to other staff members within their teams. This helped form the foundation of ‘best practice’ which will inevitably lend itself to safer exhibitions and events in the future. The training more importantly helped in formulating quality risk assessments for events and exhibitions. The help that SA Associates gave to me in making the training course job specific for our company was invaluable, SA Associates helped the RA to adapt the training needs in line with our 18001 OHSMS so that it hit home with our staff and the supporting documentation complimented well. All in all I can say that the training course and aftercare we received from both the trainer and SA Associates office staff was excellent and made the course worthwhile. I would be only too happy to recommend SA Associates training service to anyone in the Exhibitions and Events environment. Best regards and many thanks for your excellent service.
Premiership Football Club - 11/04/2019;
I wanted to drop you a line to personally say thank you for the two IOSH courses you provided to us at Anfield Stadium. Your trainer, Shaun, made a very good impression on our staff and all commented on how much they enjoyed the course, which was made particularly enjoyable by the delivery style and the ability to bring to life the subject of health and safety for them in their own areas. Please would you pass on our gratitude to your team and the trainer, who are true credits to your company and absolute pleasures to work with.
London Borough of Lambeth - 21/03/2021;
I undertook 'Fire Marshal' training today as part of my responsibility as a Fire Marshal for London Borough of Lambeth, at Phoenix House, Vauxhall. I thought the course was really good and highly informative so well done SA Associates for its content and design, but particular praise goes to our trainers, Pat O'Keeffe, who got the essential content in a clear, entertaining and practical manner. He clearly knew his stuff and made me feel valued and that he was sharing his expertise with others so as to help us help others to be safe. If you can pass on my personal appreciation to Pat and I'm happy for you to share this compliment with other clients and parties. Dr Iain Boulton
