Most of these accidents can be avoided by taking simple precautions, such as remove the need for reversing altogether, by setting up one-way systems, for example drive-through loading and unloading positions. Where reversing is unavoidable, routes should be organised to minimise the need for reversing also consider employing a trained signaller (a banksman), both to keep the reversing area free of pedestrians and to guide drivers.

Course Requirements
This course is for a maximum of 3.1 per half day session and can be conducted on any site that has suitable facilities (power and seating). The practical element of the training will be conducted using the customer’s equipment where possible and it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the equipment is suitable for its intended use and is properly maintained.
Certification:
On completion of the course you will receive a certificate of attendance and a comprehensive set of course notes for each trainee.
Cost:
1 x half day course taken in one day is £420.00 plus VAT. (This is fully inclusive of tutor expenses). All consultants hold professional membership of the chartered Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
